Thank You Hans Jonkhof for this video recording. It is well done and captures "Steely Dan", their fusion of Jazz and contemporary music of the time (mine also now at 66 yrs old) is priceless. I love to play their music on guitar and it is a joy. Thankds again - its TIMELESS

I guess I had always known about Steely Dan before knowing about them, because of Do It Again and Rikki Don’t Lose That Number being on the radio that was always on in our house, but finally came to them in 1996 when the best of Then and Now (with the carhenge sculpture on by Jim Reinders) appeared in a sale in Woolworths... I was 24 then so still terribly worried about cool and not cool, and this coffee table music seemed ineffably uncool. But I LOVED it. I didn't want the coda of FM to end. I love repetition and it was hypnotic. And as a jazz fan the connection finally clicked. One of the coolest uncool bands EVER. Its beyond however, me why the band has continued, but I guess its none of my f***in business what the two of them agreed if one of them wasn't around.

Don't want to mention any specific event or creation but performed in 2000 I will say the state of mind of these fella's told through the music as the stories unfold amazes and brings upon me a nostalgic peace of mind that makes me complete... Life goes on

Great doco, loved Donald saying Skunk Baxter did very well with the ladies after the shows he had a mixure of moral disgust and envy seeing Baxter the next morning with these ladies sometimes half dressed .

Are these guys genius or what? Their music is timeless. Was fortunate enough to see them in concert through the years and always flawless but when Donald toured with the Great Phoebe Snow, OMG absolute perfection. Phoebe’s astounding voice lovingly applied to Donald’s lyrics and their respect and love for each other, was like sipping a very dry, chilled martini at the bar at Chez Josephines on 42nd street. Beyond amazing.

If you don’t like steely dan, then there is something wrong with you, the brilliance of this band is beyond words

If you're 20s something wait til you're in your 50s, their unique style and music just keeps getting better and better! Just like fine aged 'whiskey' you will appreciate them even more as time passes - "drink scotch whiskey all night long!" Cheers!

Impossible to see steely Dan live and not have a fantastic time, saw them in 1996, what a show...the entire band is just so unbelievably talented, Becker was just a fantastic guitar player and Donald Fagan is just really cool, the riffs this guys plays on the piano and keyboards and that woodwind harmonica thing he plays, the man is really really talented

The jazz/rock fusion begins with Steely Dan And has never ended. They created it and it continues to this day! Nuff said

For 50+ years, not a day goes by that I don’t listen to Steely Dan songs. Their songs give me peace of mind, , relaxation, and let’s my mind wonder freely. With music videos available, I love watching brilliant musicians join Steely Dan and produce outstanding songs. Simply superb!
